Haslemere Eden Valley 2024 Chardonnay
Wine Description
This Chardonnay from the Eden Valley, South Australia exhibits colours of pale yellow with green hues. On the nose there are ripe peach, toasted brioche, and subtle smokey notes, lifted by chalky minerality. Layers of stone fruit and toast balanced by preserved lemon and soft minerality. Gentle acidity extends to an elegant, fine-structured finish.
A medium-bodied, mildly oaked Chardonnay where lightly toasted oak adds complexity without overpowering the vibrant stone fruit and minerality. Pairs beautifully with full-flavored fish, lightly seasoned pork or poultry, and mild soft cheeses. Also an appealing, characterful aperitif.
